Madeira cake is something that has an interesting history, being based around madeira wine more than Madeira, the place. This history means that the cake can have some complex flavours, and we’ve made sure to represent that in each and every madeira cake that we produce. The gentle lemon flavour of great madeira cake comes through with every bite, leading to a beautifully balanced and moreish cake that’s hard to refuse. Through tinkering with our recipes, we’ve ensured that none of our madeira cakes are too moist, as the cakes can sometimes be. We approach all of our bakes with a high level of quality control.
